Re-indigenisation and creating community in a time of Spiritual Bypassing

What is “decolonisation” and how does that actually look like in practice? How do we alchemise emotions like anger into a source of energy and joy? How do we ensure we don’t burn-out, and instead build community and a collective energy that contributes to positive change.

This is a conversation to demystify colonialism, to understand the many forms, stages and its effects on mind, body and environment. We discuss how yoga and other practices have been hi-jacked by neoliberal capitalism, and to things to look out for, to ensure we don’t unknowingly perpetuate further appropriation.

We have offered a similar workshop in the past, but the last two years is a call to  go deeper. Learn practical tools - emphasis on language, how to have open hearted discussions and what meaningful action looks like.

Expect a relaxed seminar discussion, a short film and space to share experience and ideas across disciplines.

EVERYONE is welcome, and for those that teach yoga, are mental health practitioners, work with people from diverse backgrounds - this will be a step to better support those in your community.
