Yoga & Social Justice Teacher Training
In this comprehensive and heart-driven yoga teacher training, you will learn to become a skilled and receptive teacher. This is for aspiring teachers that want to create authentic and welcoming spaces that encourage conversation, build community and share practices around cultivating sense of agency and embodied social justice.
Led by Open House Yoga Director Laila Mahmud-Kirkpatrick, in partnership with an experienced faculty made of Senior Yoga Teachers, Youth and Social Workers, Psychologist, Ayurvedic Practitioner and Physiotherapist.
Workshops take place on Saturdays at Open House Yoga in Maylands over 6 months, commencing February 2021. Mentoring and course completion is over 12 months.
Successful graduates are eligible to register as a Level 1 Yoga Teacher with Yoga Australia. After 5 years of teaching you will be eligible to register as a Level 2 Teacher with Yoga Australia.

18 months of consistent yoga practice is recommended if you are unsure please contact us for a chat. If you work in community services (social work, youth work, juvenile justice etc) or advocacy services then a one year minimum is possible.
